The Counseling Department at Orr Middle School strives to create young men and women who are well prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of the 21st century. As productive citizens, our students will achieve their maximum potential and make a positive difference in their school, workplace, and community.
The mission of the Orr Middle School counseling department is to provide all students with a comprehensive, data-driven, and culturally sensitive school counseling program that promotes equity, access, and success for all students. We collaborate with various stakeholders to address the academic, social/emotional, and college/career needs of our students. The school counselors at Orr promote student self-advocacy, responsibility, goal-setting, growth mindset, and character development.
